Saber

A gesture of war turned into a gesture of joy by the grace of a wine! And who better to accomplish this feat than Champagne, whose birth and image are nothing but perpetual contradictions?

First the land

Eastern Province, a crossroads of influence but also, and always, a battleground; a place where the names of battles are almost as numerous as the names of vintages. Champagne! By what strange miracle does your name alone ring out like a call to pleasure? And from this poor chalk soil – so long plagued by a thousand ills – comes a wine that has become almost synonymous with wealth.

Then the wine

It is said that the vine must suffer to transmit all its qualities to the fruit. The wines themselves, which slowly become wine, are carefully blended to create each new cuvée. They then need a long maturation period in the bottle to form and blossom. All this meticulous work, all these years, and all we’ll be remembered for… is our smiling spontaneity!

Then the bottle

With Champagne wine, it’s ennobled: it’s no longer just a container, but a tool. Each of them – as if unique – will undergo multiple transformations in the monastic silence of the cellars, before suddenly emerging – dressed in gold – in the blink of a libertine eye.

Here comes the cork

We want it to be both flexible and solid. It must be strong enough to keep the wine locked up, but when the time comes, it must be able to jump out and, in a flash, turn prison into a sign of happiness!

The sword at last

It springs from the scabbard, barely grazing the collar, leaving the sparkle of laughter suspended in its swift flight. And so, in a final metamorphosis by the grace of this magical Champagne wine, the weapon, instead of imposing order, liberates celebration.
